The function of the Association is to keep the 'Spirit' of Ganges alive through the re-uniting of class and shipmates at an Annual Reunion. Divisional meetings are held throughout the world.

Membership of the Association is open to all personnel who were carried on the books of HMS Ganges, HMS St. George & HMS Bruce. i.e. Boys, H.O.s, Instructors, Ships Company, Officers, WRNS, QARNNS and Royal Marines. Many have their own Divisions and hold local meetings.
